It will be Cervia to host the first italian stage of the most important sports event: the first IRONMAN Italy Emilia Romagna, the long distance triathlon featuring all three disciplines, swimming (3.8 km), cycling (180 km ) and run (42,195 km).

Athletes will start their competion on Cervia Beach.

The swimming section will be comprised of a 3.8 km ring, which includes an "australian exit" - an interruption on the ground between the two swimming parts - after about 2.5 km.

The cycling route takes two laps for a total of 180.2 km. It begins on the seafront of Cervia and moves through the hills of Romagna.
The athletes will pass through the striking Saline Natural Park where, if we are lucky, we can watch the pink flamingos. Later, they will pass through the vineyards of the famous Sangiovese following the "wine and taste road" of Romagna.
After crossing the Bertinoro hill, the race will fall back to Cervia.

In the end the athletes will run three times the circuit to reach 42.2 km. After arriving at the harbor, the race continues along the main streets of Milano Marittima. Athletes will enter into the heart of Cervia through the square of the historic "Salt Store" before reaching the finish line on the waterfront.
